Samburu Simba Lodge is a serene safari retreat nestled within the Buffalo Springs National Reserve in northern Kenya. Overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River, the lodge offers guests an immersive experience in one of Kenya’s most unique and less-traveled wildlife regions.​
Accommodation
The lodge comprises seven villa-style buildings, each housing ten en-suite rooms. Rooms are spacious and feature private terraces with views of the river valley. Furnishings include dark-wood cupboards, beds, a desk, and a writing table. Bathrooms are equipped with showers, toilets, and sinks.
Location & Wildlife
Situated just over 180 miles (approximately a 5-hour drive) from Nairobi, Samburu Simba Lodge provides easy access to the rich biodiversity of the Samburu ecosystem. The area is renowned for its unique wildlife, including the "Samburu Special Five": reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. Guests can often observe elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife directly from the lodge’s vantage points.
