Day 1 Arrival and Transfer to Samburu

  • Late Morning: You may choose to visit Samburu’s smaller sister reserve, Shaba, which is nearby and offers a quieter experience.
    • The Shaba National Reserve also has excellent wildlife and unique landscapes. You can visit Shaba’s Hot Springs and enjoy the stunning scenery.
  • Afternoon: Relax at the lodge, enjoy a swim, or indulge in a spa treatment (if available).
  • Evening: Go for another game drive in the Samburu National Reserve. The late afternoon is a great time for spotting predators or seeing animals come to the river for water.
  • Night: Return to your lodge for dinner and a restful night.
Day 4 Cultural Experience & Game Drives
  • Morning: Begin with a game drive in the early morning.
  • Late Morning: After the game drive, you can head to a Samburu village for a cultural visit. The Samburu people are closely related to the Maasai and have preserved their traditional way of life. You’ll have the chance to experience their dances, songs, and learn about their lifestyle.
  • Lunch: Return to your lodge for lunch and enjoy some leisure time by the pool or in the lounge.
  • Afternoon: After lunch, enjoy another game drive around the reserve, exploring areas you might have missed earlier. Visit the Ewaso Ng'iro River to spot hippos and crocodiles.
  • Evening: Relax and enjoy a sundowner (drinks at sunset) while overlooking the wildlife and river.
  • Night: Return to the lodge for dinner.
Day 5 Final Safari and Departure
